Human Capital Champion – Carol’s career began in the fast-paced world of high-technology firms experiencing rapid growth. As the human resources lead, she played a pivotal role in shaping talent strategies and essential human resources infrastructure. Drawing from her upbringing in a tech-savvy family, Carol adapted seamlessly to tech company culture, spearheading initiatives in employee engagement, learning & development, total compensation, and performance & overall talent management. Her expertise proved invaluable during times of transition when her contributions extended beyond human resources and into organizational imperatives like strategic planning, business pivots, and merger integrations.
Entrepreneur – Equipped with vast experience, Carol embarked on her second career, founding Bergeron Associates where she consults and coaches in leadership and organization development. Through her collaborative approach which prompts innovative solutions, Carol catalyzes positive change in organizations and leaders across life science, healthcare, professional services, manufacturing, and nonprofit sectors.
Eager to broaden her impact, Carol has taken to writing. She authored “create your EPIC executive brand” workbook which provides leaders guidance on elevating career, leadership and legacy to new heights. Her book “People Succession: Lessons from Forward Thinking Executives in Middle-Market Companies” offers organizations leadership pipeline building insights. And “take the RETIREMENT LIFE DESIGN challenge” workbook and coaching programs guide individuals in crafting one-of-a-kind, fulfilling and purposeful retirement lives.
Board & Community Leader – As Carol’s reach grows, so does her commitment to community. In concert with consulting, she serves on various boards, where she uses her expertise to promote gender equity and improve senior living. Notably, she co-founded an executive program which supports the advancement of women and men in life sciences and advocates the Scandinavian culture of care for seniors to enhance wellbeing and longevity.
Through her roles as corporate leader, consultant & coach, and board director, Carol’s reputation includes excellence in envisioning new strategic directions, leveraging human capital as a competitive advantage, and helping people navigate professional and personal transitions with a focus on self-discovery, collaboration, and innovation.
On the weekends Carol enjoys bicycling, traveling, gardening, crafting, and cooking with her husband Bob and hiking with their energetic dogs – Wiley and Piper.
